WGC immersion trips are designed to promote understanding of different cultures and provide education as a means of promoting women’s leadership and community development. Volunteers prepare six months in advance and participate in an approximately 14 – 18 day trip that includes preparation for service and for leading professional workshops for our partners. Past workshops have included: women’s small business management and improvement; advocacy for women; education; early childhood development; caregiving; public relations/marketing; nutrition; clean water access; etc. Participants contribute to WGC’s mission, utilizing their expertise to improve the lives of women and their families.
