June 23, 2020

Dear WGC Supporters,

On February 15, 2020, we held the Girls Summit, our last Women’s Global Connection (WGC) event. It was a huge success! In attendance were local leaders, Incarnate Word Sisters and board members. Each of the individual projects within WGC has reached a successful closure. These programs have made a difference in the lives of women, their families, children, students from the University of the Incarnate Word, volunteers, and community supporters.

During our transition process, we created a team to provide guidance in following all requirements for the closure of a nonprofit organization. Judy Trevino, Executive Director, CCVI Ministries, Inc. and I will continue to work together, keeping abreast of communication and the final completion of the program.

Each of our staff members has moved forward on their own journey and are working at various programs in the community. Our sponsors, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, hosted a social event to thank them for the amazing work they have done for WGC.

Prior to COVID-19, one of our transitional goals was to host a closing ritual. We will have this event when we can come together to celebrate the achievements of our staff, volunteers, board members and sponsors, as well as the many success stories of WGC.

I thank you for your support of WGC. I will keep you informed on our final transition, and look forward to seeing you at our closing ritual. In the meantime, if you have any questions feel free to reach out to Judy Trevino at judy.trevino@amormeus.org or (210) 828-2224.

Sincerely,

Ana De Hoyos O’Connor
